Ozotic 531

I've decided to only wear polishes from my untried pile from now and and Ozotic 531 is the first.  A holographic, multichromatic beauty, this polish is both subtle and outrageous at the same time.  While I predominantly see a muted salmon colour like this on me, 531 also shifts to bronze, pink and lilac.  Oh ~ note that I used Essie Demure Vixen, a light pink colour, under 531 and not black.  I suppose the results would be brighter under a black polish, but I like it just fine like this.

Zoya Bevin

I've been wanting this polish ever since I saw sneak peeks on other blogs and now I finally have it!
This sage polish applied beautifully in two coats and sparkles with a coat of China Glaze Wireless on it.  They go well together, methinks!

While I was quilting this baby quilt for my friend's son, I noticed that my nails matched one of the fabrics.  Love!

Deborah Lippmann Good Girl Gone Bad

Here is another vampy glitter polish from Deborah Lippmann - Good Girl Gone Bad.  Though the glitter is smaller than Razzle Dazzle and the colour is a slightly deeper plum, I'd have to say that GGGB is RD's younger sister!  Both dark bases glow with fiery, lighter shimmer/glitter.  Bee-you-tea-full!  I included a (crappy) comparison picture to show the two.
Two coats would have sufficed, but I did three to be on the safe side.  The great thing about GGGB  is that it only needed one coat of topcoat, while RD needs two!

Nina Ultra Pro Punki Pink

I felt like some neon tips when I did this mani and they did not disappoint.  Of course, the pink is far too salmon in these photos, but when I googled this polish, none of the swatches were color accurate!  This bottle shot is the closest I could find.
I topped the tips with one coat of a franken I made from China Glaze Innocence and SpectraFlair pigment.  I like it as a base, but I wouldn't put it over the tips next time as I think it washes out their brightness.  I think I'll try skittle neon tips next!...

Orly Frolic

This is yet another polish that will not photograph accurately. In fact, I have yet to find an accurate swatch on the net.  The closest I could find is this, and that is not even the same polish!  Note that I even tweaked the colour/exposure in the photo and this is the closest I could get...
Other than that little annoyance, this polish applied nicely in two coats and dried quickly to a satin finish.  I finished the mani with one coat of China Glaze Techno and two coats of topcoat.  Why, oh why, can't my beloved Nubar Diamont smooth out glitter polishes in one coat?

LA Girl Disorder

After that healthy dose of pink in my previous mani, I needed something darker, so I chose LA Girl Color Addict in Disorder, which I picked up on Saturday.  Almost a one-coater, this greyed-out green with golden shimmer applied with no problems and dried quickly.  I used two coats of LA Girl Supernova, tiny holographic bar glitter, on my ring finger and quite liked them together.  There's a bit of tipwear, but it has been two days and I've quilted, cleaned and cooked since then.  As I've said before - a bit of tipwear doesn't bother me; chips do!

I think the copper-coloured LA Girl glitter would go nicely over this shade! What do you think?

Essie Secret Story

And here's a mani that I don't normally rock - a pink one.  When I do rock them, I usually choose dusty pinks or hot pinks.  No light pinks for me! :)
As per usual, the colour in the picture is not quite accurate.  It is a bit brighter and definitely a jelly.  I topped it with one coat of Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven, but since the iridescent glitter is suspended in a milky base, it toned down the pink a bit.  I prefer Secret Story by itself; it will be a great summer mani/pedi colour!

My Wordle Cloud

After seeing Helena's Wordle cloud on PerryPie's Nail Polish Adventures, I was inspired to try it myself, using my blog as a basis.  Now, this blog has only been in existence for a few months, so my Wordle cloud is not that interesting.  I'll definitely try it out later in the year and see how it has changed!

Apparently I use the words polish, pretty, tipwear and though a lot! :)  Try Wordle yourself.

Essie Chinchilly

I went with an old standby neutral this time ~ Essie Chinchilly.  I love how the grey has hints of green and purple in different lighting conditions.  Definitely my favourite grey polish!
To spruce it up, I added a Konad design with one of my new polishes, Orly Frolic.  Subtle but pretty.  I haven't done a mani with this colour yet, but I'm pretty sure it will become my favourite aqua polish.  It is so bright and saturated; it's beautiful!

Essie Power Clutch

I'm beginning to think that Nubar Diamont is responsible for my tipwear.  I did this mani late last night and I have tipwear already!  It hasn't even been 24 hours yet...

I've had Power Clutch for a few months now and was finally brave enough to use it.  I always buy these dark colours thinking they look awesome, but when I get home I put them away because I don't think my nails look good enough for them.  I shouldn't have worried though, as the greened-out grey is a great colour.  It kind of reminds me of RBL Orbis Non Sufficit, which I foolishly swapped.

I love how it looks with Fingerpaints Twisted on top!  Multicoloured flakies are definitely my kind of thing.

Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers

Wow!  I just noticed the crazy tipwear on this manicure.  Funny (or not so) thing is, I just did this last night, less than 24 hours ago.  Argh!  I don't know if if the two coats of Nubar Diamont are pulling the polish or if the wear is from use.  I did do a bit of quilting last night and a weightlifting class this morning.  Hmm...

Regardless, it is a pretty polish, though I found that the red glitter isn't as bright as the purple glitter in Bad Romance.  I ended up putting on a coat of Do Ya Think I'm Sexy (same red glitter in a clear base) to brighten up this mani and I like how it now 'pops'.
