Rescue Beauty Lounge Lucciole with Sephora by OPI It's Real 18k Gold

Wow, that title is a mouthful!  I finally plucked Rescue Beauty Lounge Lucciole from my slowly diminishing untried pile and I'm glad I did.  It is a beautiful muted purple shimmer with tiny flecks of copper microshimmer, which are meant to symbolize fireflies in the dusk, or something to that effect.  Lucciole applied gorgeously in two coats and the shimmer came out to play with a coat of Wicked Fast.  I thought my newly-acquired Sephora by OPI 18k Gold topcoat would look nice atop the purple.  Um...yeah, should have left well enough alone.  :)

Aren't there just some polishes that should be left alone?

Picture Polish Ultra Violence and Bewitch

Ooh, look, super nubs! :)  I couldn't wait to try out these beauties when I got them and I must have been super excited when applying them, as they didn't apply as nicely as Picture Polishes usually do.  You can see at the nail line, the polish is a bit thin.  I'm not sure if the dragging was due to the formula or user error, but next time I will layer these babies so that I only have to use one or two coats, not three.
Regardless, the multicoloured shimmer in Bewitch is gorgeous, as is the fuschia holographic glitter in Ultra Violence.  You really know how to make some gorgeous polishes Picture Polish!

I've got a few more untried Picture Polishes to go through; I should definitely do that soon!

Colours by Llarowe Valentine's mani

Now, this wasn't really my Valentine's mani, but the Colors by Llarowe polishes did come from her Valentine's 2014 collection.  I managed to snag the collection and two of the four beauties are showcased here.  All polishes applied perfectly in two coats.  CbL The Sweetest Thing is a bluish purple shimmer with red and blue (and possibly other) micro sparks of colour.  You could see the sparks in all light conditions, which makes this ubiquitous colour unique in that aspect.  Bless Your Wicked Little Heart is a red jelly crammed full of red microglitter; it just glows (and is smooth to the touch) with a coat of topcoat.
My favourite of this mani, though, is definitely Misa Lash Out!  It is my dream aqua shade and that's stunning.  Lash Out does dry matte, though so if you want that amazing glow, topcoat is a must.

Looking at this mani, I want to put on Lash Out right now; it is the perfect spring/summer shade!

Texture Skittles

I was a bit late jumping on the OPI Holiday 2013 texture bandwagon, but I'm glad I eventually did.  I never got into the crackle trend a few years back, nor did OPI Spotted interest me, but I do love me some texture!
I couldn't wait to try them all, so I decided upon a skittle mani, with the lone non-OPI polish being a Misa (which I believe has a superior formula to OPI, in general).
All polishes covered nicely in two coats, albeit thick ones.  You know how texture polishes are.

Forgive me, but I can't quite tell what's on my thumb.  It looks like it might be the same polish as my ring finger, but maybe not...?!
